Explanation

• This treemap visualizes the distribution of words across authors in the corpus, grouped by their cultural background.
• Each rectangle represents one author, sized proportionally to the total word count across all their source texts.
• Rectangle size corresponds to the cumulative number of recorded lexical entries from all sources attributed to that author.
• Authors are grouped by background: Greek (blue), Arabic (green), Syrian (purple), and Other (gray). Orange rectangles group multiple authors together.
• Only authors with 50 or more total words across their sources are included in this visualization.
• Click on any author rectangle to view detailed information about that person and their works.
