Gerhard Endress
Gerhard Endress is Emeritus Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies at Ruhr University, Bochum, Germany, and a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences of Northrhine Westphalia (Düsseldorf). His research interests include the intellectual history of medieval Islam, Arabic literature and especially the reception of Greek philosophy and science in the Arabic Islamic milieu.
